Thanks to a generous donation from an anonymous alumnus, with additional funding provided by the Johns Hopkins Inter-fraternity council, the chapter decked out the house in cobwebs, ghoulish images, and blacklights. Visitors were led through the first floor, where they were invited to feel "brains," "worms," and other frightening substances. Brother Mike Smith was on call to pop out of a coffin for additional scares. Those guests who pressed on were escorted to the basement, where a labyrinth full of costumed brothers lay in between them and the exit. Virtually every single child and parent emerged from the hauted house consumed by laughter, or occasionally, teary-eyed fear. The event was a huge success and all of our brothers agreed that it should remain a cherished tradition for years to come.
