Welcome to the Johns Hopkins Ski and Snowboard Club Website!
We are a club at the Johns Hopkins University that takes regular skiing and snowboarding trips to mountain resorts in the surrounding Baltimore/PA area.
All trips are completely FREE courtesey of the Student Activities Commission (SAC). This includes an unlimited lift ticket, a lesson at your skill level, and a rental of skis or snowboard. If you have any questions, please ask the mailing list. Note that, due to spam, your message may be delayed a few days if you are not a subscriber.
Spring 2008 Schedual
Trips will be added to the calendar as they are scheduled. If you want to go at a specific time, please ask the list. We will mostly be visiting Liberty Mountain or White Tail.
Weekday trips run from 4:30pm to ~12am on Wednesdays
Weekend trips run from ~7am to whenever people are tired
Trip dates are not fixed in stone, please send emails to the mailing list and suggest dates if you want to go at a specific time.

Vans 1 and 2 for February 15-17, February 2, 9, 23,30, and March 1. Van 1 for January 30, February 6, 13, 20, and 2
Van Certification Classes
Below is a forwarded message for anyone who is interested in getting Van certified. We need van certified people to help drive the trups. The test is ridiculously easy. So much so that I've never heard of anyone failing it. The coordinator's name is Crystal Hooper and you can email her at chooper1@jhuadig.admin.jhu.edu.

2/19/07 @ 12pm-4pm Conference Room A
2/21/07 @ 1pm-5pm Conference Room A
2/22/07 @ 10am-2pm HopStop
2/23/07 @ 1pm-5pm HopStop
2/27/07 @ 10am-2pm HopStop
The class is composed of 4 sections--a video, a written test, brief review of the van manual, and a road test. Please come prepared with your Drivers License and a pen. Sign-up will be held in the Levering Hall Office of Student Development and Programming starting on 2/14/07 @ noon, please bring your license. At this time only Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors are eligible for van certification.
