Welcome to HOSA:
- Is a national organization
- Volunteer opportunities to help students get involved in more health related professions.

First Activities:
- Sept 29th- first day of volunteering at the Children’s House
- Movie night- “Something the Lord Made” next Wednesday in Remsen 1 at 6pm
- Judging high school-ers as they compete in HOSA competitions.
- National HOSA conference in which we get to compete (more info to come in the Spring!)

- WE HAVE A WEBSITE! check it out at: http://hosa.jhu.edu (edited)

- This month’s event will be a showing of an AIDS documentary (it’s
actually supposed to be very interesting, one section goes over the
molecular aspects of the disease…). It will be shown on the 26th at
around 7:30pm, but more info on that next week.

- We will be going to the Children’s House this Saturday, March 17th
from 3:30- 4:30.

- National HOSA members- your cards have arrived! (most of you should
have picked them up..) Now that you are National HOSA members you are
eligible for scholarships. Most of them have deadlines on April 15th.
Please refer to the HOSA website for further details.

- We are looking into judging state competitions (as we did last
year..). Email the account if you’re interested!

- This year’s National HOSA conference will be held from June 20-23rd
in Orlando, FL. Email back if you’re interested in attending! Also, be
sure to check the website for more details…
