Hopkins ChemBE Career Network

Dear ChemBE students,

As the Director of the Hopkins ChemBE Career Network (HCCN), it is my responsibility (1) to develop our department’s ties with ChemBE-related companies and (2) to be sure you have the resources to prepare yourselves to enter the job market. I have recently accepted this position, and I am hoping to continue the excellent service that Prof. Hanes provided you over the last few years.

You are probably aware that based on a faculty meeting this past summer, we have now incorporated a set of “Pre-Professional Requirements” into the ChemBE curriculum. You will fulfill these requirements (workshops on resume writing, job and internship searches, and interviewing; and a mock interview) through the JHU Career Center.

As we continue to build relationships with companies that hire ChemBEs, you will receive regular emails from Stanley Chung, the Undergraduate Director of HCCN, describing current postings. We also anticipate several special events over the course of the year with visitors from industry in cooperation with AIChE/SBE and the Career Center. I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities by pursuing the positions that interest you and attending as many special events as you can.
