Research Investigator

Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting characterization studies on new drug candidates to define biophysical and chemical properties using different analytical tools. Develop parenteral dosage forms for clinical and commercial use, and conduct optimization and scale up studies. Generate data for regulatory filings, participate on project teams to assure successful drug product technology transfer from R&D to clinical manufacturing and commercial sites. Issue periodic reports and assure compliance of the laboratory environment and work generated with corporate and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

EDUCATION PREFERRED: Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Bioengineering or related disciplines

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: M.S.5 8 years Ph.D. 0 to 3 years.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of protein structure, chemistry, stability and fundamental principles of pharmaceutical science essential for the development of injectable dosage forms particularly for protein therapeutics Hands on experience with analytical instrumentation, such as SEC, SDS PAGE, IEF , spectroscopy and microcalorimetry . Experience with biophysical characterization, thermodynamics and mechanistic understanding of proteins with excipients is desired. Good written and verbal communication as well as having good interpersonal skills and be an effective team player.
