Genentech Process Research and Development Outstanding Student Awards – 2010/2011
The Genentech PR&D Student Awards were founded to recognize outstanding students in disciplines related to chemical and biochemical engineering at selected schools. JHU has been selected to receive an award of $5,000.00 (Five thousand dollars), of which $2,500 will be in the form of unrestricted funds to the school and the remainder in the form of a student award of $2,500. The student award-winner will be offered a three-month summer intern position starting in June 2011 at Genentech’s South San Francisco in one of the following areas:
MotorWeek Internship
Maryland Public Television (MPT) recently obtained a grant from the US Department of Energy and is offering a paid internship for the spring semester. This is a 20-hour per week contractual position. The salary is $15.00 per hour. The 16-week internship will begin on January 10, 2011.

SCI Scholars
The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI), America International Group (AIG), American Chemical Society (ACS), and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) developed this summer internship program to introduce chemistry and chemical engineering students to careers in the chemical industry. They are looking for sophomores and juniors with a GPA of at least 3.5 and are majoring in chemistry or chemical engineering.
