Spring ‘10 message from Prof. Gray
Welcome back to JHU for another semester! We hope you had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends!
The new year brings many new opportunities from both industry and graduate programs. Many employers are starting to post their summer internship opportunities or full-time opportunities and looking to hire talented students. Now is the time to accelerate or jump-start your search. Get your resumes brushed up and reviewed. Be prepared to send many applications, and be patient!
Remember to take advantage of the Career Center (http://www.jhu.edu/careers) and their J-Connect system (https://jhu-csm.symplicity.com/students). On J-Connect, you can access job and internship listings, see which employers are coming to campus for career fairs and information sessions, and sign up for on-campus interviews. It is critical that you access your J-Connect account early on and complete your profile with as much information as possible.
Finally, there will be a Science, Engineering, and Technology Career Fair on Wednesday Feb.10 from 11 am - 3 pm at the Rec Center. Many companies have already signed up and more are registering to come. Have your resumes prepared as many of these companies will be hiring.
Good luck on the coming semester! HCCN will continue to serve as your liason between and resources on/off campus. Please check our blog (http://the.jhu.edu/hccn) for the most updated postings and opportunities
