Job Description
BIO Pharmaceutical Development and Marketed Product Support (BIO PD & MPS) group within Centocor R&D located in PA, NJ, and in Europe. The BIO PD & MPS organization is responsible for the development of technology used in the large-scale manufacture of monoclonal antibodies, therapeutic proteins, and other biologics. PD is also responsible for the manufacture of toxicology supplies and clinical supplies for phase 1 and phase 2 drug development studies.
Co-ops may be available in the following areas:
-Upstream Drug Substance Development & Technology Management
-Drug Product Development (DPD)
-Downstream Bulk Drug Substance Development
-Analytical Development
-Clinical Supply & Technical Support
The major courses of study required are the following:
Biology, Molecular or Microbiology
Engineering - Biochemical or Chemical
Chemistry, Analytical or Biochemistry
Biotechnology
Supply Chain Management
Other Related Science Fields
Requirements for Co-op Positions
Must be currently enrolled and attending College in order to be considered for this position.
Availability to work for a 6 month period required.
A minimum of 3.2 GPA is preferred.
Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week during normal business hours.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency Required
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills required
Previous co-op or internship experience preferred.
Proficiency in the following Computer Software/Languages: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.
Local travel may be required
