Purpose:
Air Liquide recently opened the state of the art Delaware Research Technology Center (DRTC) in Newark, Delaware. We are currently looking to fill position(s) of Scientist/Sr. Scientist, Chemical Engineers adaptable to various unit operations of chemical engineering processes to bring in innovation.
This is an exciting period for R&D. We are looking for people to join our entry to high-level, international team. Candidates with substantial background and experience will be considered for senior level position. This role reports to Manager, Bio-Resources Group involving food, biofuel, pharma, and environment.
Expectations:
- Achieve and coordinate research project objectives and timeline
- Monitor budget to successfully conduct the research projects
- Provide technical leadership
- Promote innovative development of intellectual property
- Manager continuous monitoring of competition
- Serve as safety role model; promote a high level of safety and continuous improvement in safety practices
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Masters / Ph.D in chemical engineering. Can accept candidates graduating 1st Qtr 09. Prefer students Graduating in December.

- Work environment includes office, laboratory, pilot plant and at customer’s sites
- Travel Requirements:
10-20% intermittent domestic and international travel is required based on position and project needs.
