Weekly:
• District Hayride Nov 7 7-11pm
Our Circle K District is having a hayride/bonfire at Milburn Orchards in Elkton, MD to get to know the members of our neighboring clubs. It’s from 8-10pm, but we’ll be taking a van or car up at about 7pm. It will be really fun and a good networking opportunity, so come out and join us! Email Kari at ksepely1@jhu.edu for details.
• M&T Band Competition Nov 9 8am-6pm
There is a giant marching band competition at the M&T Bank stadium downtown, and they need volunteers to help it run smoothly. We’ll probably be helping to sell programs and tickets. We desperately need volunteers for this event, so please sign up if you’ll be available. Email Olivia at otong1@jhu.edu if you’re interested in going.
• Red Cross Blood Drive Nov 19 & 20 8am-7pm
The Red Cross is having its second blood drive of the school year on November 19th and 20th. They need volunteers to help at the snack table to make sure donors are okay before they leave, and they also are looking for a few people to help publicize by handing out fliers, putting up posters, chalking sidewalks, etc. Contact Angela at angeli@jhu.edu if you would like to volunteer or donate blood!
• Thanksgiving Parade Nov 22, morningish
BOPA is looking for volunteers to man the giant balloons at the Baltimore Thankgiving parade. This year the balloons are a Jack-in-the-Box and a Snowman. You can work with a partner, and we need to register quickly because the spots are filling up. Email Jae at jkim275@jhu.edu for more info.
